Nurseries have been on my mind lately because… I’m growing a tiny human! I am 21 weeks pregnant and am finally getting some of my energy back (growing a baby really takes it out of you sometimes!). So I couldn’t be happier to finally share this beautiful nursery I designed for Nathan’s little sister, Eva, with you today.

This nursery was in pretty good shape when my client Danielle brought me in. It was originally Nathan’s nursery, and Danielle wisely kept the space neutral so she wouldn’t have to entirely redecorate. We reused all the furniture—it was simple and white, making it easy to work with. The walls were painted in white and taupe stripes, which we also decided to keep. All this space needed was some cute accessories and a dose of pink to make it feel fresh for baby Eva, and that’s exactly what we did!

The most dramatic change was the drapery. We used Kyoto Bloom, Cattail from Tonic Living. I knew it was the one as soon as I saw it. The blush tones blend perfectly with the taupe on the walls, and the hints of raspberry, citron and spiced orange really bring in some energy. They are so gorgeous and completely transform the space!

Another standout area is the storage shelf. Closed storage is key in a nursery to hide unsightly things like diapers and wipes, while keeping them easy to reach. The solution? Paint-dipped belly baskets! And how fun is that neon light?

We also switched the ceiling light to this glam chandelier from RH Baby & Child, and brought in a TON of accessories. Every accessory you see in the above picture is brand new, including the beautiful rug from HomeSense, and it’s pretty incredible how much they helped revamp the space. An heirloom mirror from Danielle’s grandmother brings in some sentimental value and soul, while an ottoman with a tray is a functional and pretty addition. We had the ottoman custom made from Tonic Living in a beautiful fabric that is no longer available, but this one is similar.
Ultimately I am so, so happy with how this space turned out. It feels like a little jewel box for baby Eva with something pretty to look at in every corner. Thank you for letting me decorate this space, Danielle!

Very, very pretty…Eva will love it. That curtain fabric is a great choice.
Thank you!!
